The Chef's Counter
An anniversary, a proposal, a birthday for two couples. The chef cooks solo at your counter and talks you through each of five small courses as they come. The closest thing to a chef's table in a restaurant, without the reservation.
What is included
Everything in the evening.
- Five tasting courses, cooked and served by the chef
- Chef solo, at your kitchen counter or island
- Menus that follow the season and what the market had that morning
- A printed menu to keep
- The kitchen cleaned and reset

Anniversaries, proposals, and date nights for two to six.
Before you book
The practical part.
A 50 percent deposit holds the date. The balance is due seven days before the dinner, when the guest count locks.
Full refund at 14 days or more. Inside 14 days the deposit is retained. Inside three days there is no refund, except that we will rebook the dinner within 60 days.
Travel is included within 30 miles of Placerville. Beyond that, a $75 travel fee applies; South Lake Tahoe is quoted separately in winter.
Wine and spirits are provided by the host. Our chefs are happy to open and pour what you have chosen.
